  3. 1. ZIP Files
  4.  
  5. This release consists of three ZIP files. Each corresponding
  6. to one of the original floppy disks. Exception: Some files from
  7. Disk 2 where placed into the first ZIP file to allow users to
  8. play part way into the game with only the one file. Also the
  9. drawers and their icons for the directories used by the game have
  10. been placed into the first ZIP file.

  12. 2. Installing to a Hard Disk.
  13.  
  14. To install Heroine onto your hard disk. Move the ZIP files
  15. into the root directory of your hard disk or partition and UNZIP
  16. them using the "FULL PATHNAMES" option. If you are prompted to
  17. create any directories reply "YES".
  18.  
  19. For Heroine to work properly you will have to add the following
  20. lines to your "user-startup" file (startup-sequence for all you
  21. pre 2.0 users).

  23. assign hero1: <your-harddisk>:hero1/
  24. assign hero2: <your-harddisk>:hero2/
  25. assign hero3: <your-harddisk>:hero3/
  26.  
  27. You will have to re-boot your computer in order for the assigns
  28. to take effect.

  30. 3. INSTALL.BAT and DEINSTALL.BAT
  31.  
  32. The deinstall program still works, but the install program was
  33. originally designed for the floppy-disk based release and is only
  34. included for consistency between the two releases.
